I am originally from South Thomaston, Maine. I am married to Larry Dobyns and have 2 girls and a step-son. I graduated from University Of New England in Biddeford, Maine with a BS in Occupational Therapy. At a very young age, before high school years, I knew that I wanted to be a Therapist. I had a father who battled with cancer majority of my young life. I helped my mother care for him and was exposed to many medical issues that many at an older age could not deal with. During his time of illness, we had many therapist come to our home to give him therapy and we would have to take him to out-patient rehab as well. That’s when I realized I wanted to become a Therapist!
After college, I traveled the United States as a traveling Therapist. I had an assignment in Lynchburg, VA in 1996 at a Skilled Nursing Facility, and I have not left since. I have been working with the geriatric population for 19 years. I worked in Long Term Care facilities for 8 years before beginning my journey in Home Health Care. I have been with Generation Solutions since 2004, 11 years ago, and it has been the best move I ever made!
