Personal Care Aide
Personal Care Aide is an opportunity for those with a care-giving instinct and a caring heart to explore a career in taking care of clients in a home care setting. PCA’s are trained under the direction of an RN or LPN to take care of all the clients basic needs in the home including assistance with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.
Personal Care Aide Program Includes
- DMAS approved 40 hour training program
- State licensed nurse instructors (trained in adult education)
- Classes Offered in both Roanoke and Lynchburg
Part Time Program
- One week class
- Morning Schedule Monday – Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)
Cost approximately $275 depending on region
Includes: instruction and text book
Enrollment Requirements
- Must complete application/interview
- Good character
- No barrier crimes committed per state requirement
- Deposit required one week before class starts
