Nurse Aide

Nurse Aides are the major “hands on” care givers in the long term care facility, and should be educationally prepared to deal with the physiological problems that influence the chronically ill and aged resident. We believe that in teaching the Nurse Aide quality skills to enable a resident to reach the highest level of independence and self worth is extremely important.

The Nurse Aide Program includes instruction in the areas of ambulation, bathing, bowel and bladder, dressing and grooming, nutrition and feeding, oral care, transferring, vital signs, client’s legal and ethical rights and much more.

Lynchburg

The Lynchburg Nurse Aide Program Includes

  • State approved 120 hour course
  • Classroom and skills lab practical training
  • Minimum of 40 hours dedicated to clinical training in Long Term Care facility
  • State licensed RN and LPN instructors (trained in adult education)

Full Time Program

  • Four week class
  • 8:00am–2:30pm Monday–Friday (First Three Weeks)
  • 7:00am-3:30pm Monday – Friday (Fourth Week)

Part Time Program

  • Six week class
  • Morning schedule (8:30am-12:30pm) or
  • Evenings schedule (6:00pm-10:00pm)

Cost $825
(payment options available)

Includes: instruction, textbook, tb test and criminal background check

Enrollment Requirements

  • Must complete application/interview
  • Must be at least 17 years old or older
  • Good character
  • No barrier crimes committed per state requirement
  • Deposit required one week before class starts
  • Criminal Back Ground Check is required (we process them for a fee of $15)
  • Student will be required to take a PPD Test

The Roanoke Nurse Aide Program Includes
